Teacher Consultancy & Mentoring
Hi, I’m Hannah – I’ve been teaching since 2001 and absolutely love the “ah-ha” moment students achieve with inspired teaching. I have extensive experience with GAT, ESL, Life Skills, and Low Socio-Economic Schools. You’ll benefit from my diverse and unique teaching experiences in a range of settings to support you as you embark on different phases of your teaching career.
I remember when I left a low socioeconomic school in South West Sydney to start at a Selective High School in Southern Sydney. The transition was only smooth because I was able to find exceptional mentors who supported me in the cultural shift. But, I know not every teacher finds that mentor in their school. That’s where Teacher Consultancy and Mentoring externally from the school is an essential resource for teachers. As an early career teacher, I would have been lost without my mother, who was a Principal and a sounding board when things got tough. I realised when supporting another young teacher that so many teachers aren’t lucky enough to have a Principal at home to offload onto and gain valuable advice. That’s when Hannah’s Consultancy and Mentoring model was born!
Are you new to teaching? Have you recently retrained within the humanities? Are you considering re-entering the classroom and feeling a bit overwhelmed? Are you applying for permanent positions? Do you need help with your Accreditation? Whatever your situation, having a dedicated mentor is essential to a successful teaching career. Don’t be one of the early career teachers who leave teaching. Remember why you became a teacher and let me rejuvenate your enthusiasm for a profession we both love.
You’ll benefit from my extensive experience at a range of schools in Sydney to support you in your career. Imagine having a mentor dedicated to assisting you on your journey to be the best teacher possible.
